A high school boy named Kōichi crashes his bicycle, accidentally beheading a Jizo statue. Later, his friend tells him that the whole town is abuzz about the incident, and warns him he will be cursed, which Kōichi dismisses. That night, a man in a suit and hat pelts his window with pebbles before slinking away, grumbling that the curse hasn't happened yet. The next morning, schoolgirls gossip excitedly about the statue. He sees the man in the suit, scaring him into nearly getting hit by a car. Near school, he lashes out at his friends that everyone is watching him to ogle at the curse, which they deny...
