Episode Description:
Takashi is awed upon seeing a wingless white dragon yōkai fly across the skies, shedding his beautiful, shining scales all over the countryside of the town. He is concerned when Chobihigue seems depressed, saying that his most treasured shell comb has broken. Wanting to do something for him for a change, Takashi resolves to get one of the dragon spirit's scale to be constructed into a new comb. "The Dog Circle" pitches in, but the dragon does not show up. The next few days, they find one in a pine tree, which Takashi gets with Nyanko-sensei as his guide. He presents the scale to Chobihigue, who accepts it and surprises everyone by transforming into none other than the white dragon himself. Touched, he tells Takashi that he shall treasure the new comb made from his own scales even better than he had the shell comb.
