The class discusses a certain mirror within the academy, which is said to drag people into another world through it. Himawari proposes that they explore the academy at night. Since Kae joins in on Himawari's proposal, Kawaki is forced to go as well. Shino allows them to stay if they finish up their training first, to clean the floors. Kawaki questions Kae's maturity but she reveals she doesn't believe in some mystery existing at the academy, but she wants to uphold the other kids' beliefs...
