T.K. steps in and confronts Devimon, with Poyomon digivolving into Tokomon and purifying the miasma. In response, Devimon makes use of the data sent to him to digivolve into NeoDevimon. Despite being in a disadvantage in both fronts, the children refuse to give up and Izzy's group digivolve their Digimon to the Ultimate level, defeating Calmaramon and stopping the tankers from damaging the city. Without his data supply, NeoDevimon is distracted by WereGarurumon Sagittarius Mode and finally destroyed by MetalGreymon. From the castle remains, AxeKnightmon retrieves Moon=Millenniummon, who had been powering up NeoDevimon, and uses it to restore the enemy while making it digivolve further.
