Galvatron creates a weapon that emits electronic-disrupting rays called the "Madmachine". As another part of this plan, he uses technology provided by Zarak to resurrect Soundwave as a black version of himself called "Soundblaster", who controls the weapon with a sonic controller. After Metroplex is used as a test subject for the Madmachine, Galvatron sends the Madmachine to Cybertron with the intent of using it on Vector Sigma. Learning of the plan, Rodimus informs Daniel Witwicky and Blaster's old cassette bots that Blaster is being rebuilt using Master technology provided by Cerebros...
