Mikoto uses her ability to create her giant out of iron sand, using its properties to fire off a powerful electrical that can cut through Doppelganger's body. Doppelganger responds by forcing Mikoto to shoot down fuel tanks to protect civilians, exposing the airship in the process. As Ryöko tries to reason with Doppelganger to let her find a way to eliminate her soul, she attempts to jump to her death but is saved by the Scavengers...
