Judy talks to Alanis early in the morning about taking her long-time crush Crispin to the Thomas Wintersbone Memorial Ladies' Choice Dance. However, she feels awkward and doesn't ask Crispin. Her boss, Alyson, prompts her to, but Crispin takes a liking to Ham, even though he reluctantly says yes to Judy so he can meet up with Ham at the dance. At the dance, Ham and Crispin kiss, and Ham leaves so as not to disappoint Judy after she sees it. Judy envisions Thomas Wintersbone himself, and he cheers her up by revealing that they got the story wrong, and he was gay...
