As Arnold hangs up flyers, the mean and tough Harold forms a bond with the kitten, who ends up belonging to a grumpy old lady, Mrs. Ryle. When Harold refuses to give up the kitten, who he has named Cupcake, the police, Mrs. Ryle, and Harold's parents show up to take it back as Harold barricades himself in the house with the kitten.
