Takagi who was ordered to bring Eiki to the police station was taken hostage by Eiki. Takagi is shot in an attempt to subdue Eiki and is hospitalized. Takagi is later revealed to be saved by a mahjong tile he had in his shirt pocket. Conan and the detective boys go into Takagi's hospital room to find Sato kissing Takagi.
