The killer is discovered to be a war veteran who became fascinated with mass death. The Pyrotechnician is successfully arrested and placed in a cell across from Narihisago. Narihisago analyzes the Pyrotechnician's motives and weaknesses and coldly drives him to commit suicide, while the Perforator listens from his cell nearby.
