Ootani confesses that the real reason he broke up with Risa was that he cared so much about her that he couldn't concentrate on his studies. But on Christmas night they can't stand being apart and they get back together. On the other hand, Suzuki has not passed the university entrance exam and decides that since he could not keep his promise to Chiharu to be together forever, it would be better to leave her, but Chiharu is not willing to do that and decides to go to college and wait 1 year to be with Suzuki the following year.
