The students arrive at the first resupplying stop, the wilderness planet Vilavurs. The students encounter strange forms of wildlife that includes parachute plants and trampoline trees. As the students go around obtaining resources for the next leg of the trip, they encounter the mysterious sphere again, but this time managing to elude it. Kanata begins eating impulsively, while Quitterie becomes upset at the situation remembering that she came from a wealthy family that did not love her...
