The monsters continue to cause problems worldwide, as another flock of Rodans descends on New York. Mei begins looking into Ashihara's research from the 1960s and finds a reference to something called the "Orthogonal Diagonalyzer," before being approached by Yukie Konoko, a government agent, who unknowingly helps her to make an important realization regarding the archetypes: they can bend and distort the fabric of space-time. Professor Li is intrigued by this, and invites Mei to join her for a trip to London. Back in Japan, Gorö and Jet Jaguar continue their battle with Anguirus, but the monster overpowers Jet Jaguar and then defeats a team of soldiers by deflecting their bullets...
