While the veteran adventurers slay the hobgoblins and Goblin Champions, Goblin Slayer fights the Goblin Lord alone, but is defeated. However, when Goblin Slayer is about to be killed, Priestess casts two Protection spells to trap the Goblin Lord. The Goblin Lord attempts to trick Priestess by begging for mercy, but this fails and Goblin Slayer kills him; it's revealed that this was all part of his plan, acting as bait so Priestess could entrap the Lord....
