Moz's attack terrifies the soldiers as planned. Knowing Moz will likely betray them, Senku crafts a weapon to neutralize Moz's superior strength, a rudimentary gunpowder pistol, though Senku is deeply saddened to have reintroduced guns to the world and consoles himself that at least no one will be killed due to the healing factor of petrification/revival. For safety, Senku gives the gun to Yō, a former police officer, but when he turns out to be a bad shot, Amaryllis tricks the villagers into playing loud music so Ibara's men don't hear Yō practicing...
