When Chinatsu and her friends visit the festival, she notices Taiki and Hina hanging out, surprising her due to initially hearing from Taiki earlier in the day that he planned to go with a group. A nervous Hina becomes conscious of her appearance around Taiki when he compliments her on looking cute, satisfying Hina and they watch the fireworks. Taiki separates from Hina during the break and sees Chinatsu comforting a lost child, prompting Taiki to assist her in finding the child's mother; they encounter Haryū's girlfriend Karen Moriya along the way, who secretly roots for them...
